Camera advice

Hi

I note that some of the PiBorg kits make provision for a camera. Is there some specific camera that is recommended? I appreciate that there is an "official" Pi camera module, but I am unsure whether it works with the Pi 2B boards. Rather surprisingly, vendors seems to be unable to tell me.

My fallback position is to buy a cheapo USB webcam from Argos and plunder it for parts. But I'd prefer to use something that other people have found to work.

I have a couple of the offical cameras attached to the v2 Raspberry Pis, so I can confirm they do work correctly.

The only board they currently sell which does not work with the camera is the Zero, put simply it does not have the camera port to connect to!
