Diddyborg, Picoborg and ROS
Forums:
Greetings!
I was wondering if it is possible to integrate ROS on a DiddyBorg that uses PicoBorg and BattBorg for its movements. I was looking into picture streaming (USB camera -> RPi Wifi -> Laptop). And since ROS incorporates OpenCV by default it might be practical to connect robots DC motor movements with image proccessing. Is this possible? Any info on this would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
piborg

Using ROS
We have not really tried using ROS, however it should be possible if it can talk to an I2C based device.
All of the I2C commands used by the PicoBorg Reverse are contained within the PicoBorgRev.py script. I expect that the same commands would need to be integrated into the ROS framework in some way.
I would suggest that the best thing to do is ask the guys working on ROS how you can go about getting the PicoBorg Reverse board included.
