Linking gamepad to Raspberry Pi 3
Forums:
Hi, I recently bought a gamepad from Piborg - https://www.piborg.org/pis-and-peripherals-1139/raspberry-pi-wireless-us... - for use with my rasberry pi 3.
I followed the instructions at https://www.piborg.org/blog/joyborg but when I got to the first screenshot in those instructions there was no sign of the pi picking up the movement of the gamepad/joystick (and no LEDs lighting up on the joystick at any stage). Pressing the 'Home' button on the gamepad did not have any effect. The batteries are working.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Faulty gamepad
Sorry about the slow reply, we were very busy last week :(
I have done some investigating and it seems like it is probably an issue with the gamepad itself.
We have one in the office that has the same problem, no response from the LED. When we had a more detailed look we found that one of the battery contacts in the gamepad was not actually touching the battery...
We managed to get the gamepad to work by using a screwdriver to adjust the metal plates in the battery compartment so that it made contact with the batteries properly.
If you want to give it a go you can try adjusting the contacts like we did, or you can return the gamepad to us for a replacement one.
If you would rather have a replacement please send our sales team a message using our contact form, select the "Direct contact" option and explain that you want to return the faulty gamepad for replacement.
